Wholesale Catalogue Layout

Bewilderbeest

Brief:

Using the existing brand assets and product photography, I was tasked with designing a 36-page wholesale product catalogue. The goal was to translate Bewilderbeest’s unique brand voice into a fun yet highly practical selling tool ahead of their first major trade show appearance.

My Role:

This was the first commercial project of my graphic design career. Following a self-initiated pitch, Bewilderbeest commissioned me to design their first major wholesale catalogue for an upcoming trade show. The 36 page publication needed to showcase their growing range of greetings cards, stationery and lifestyle products while remaining true to their playful brand personality. Working remotely on a tight turnaround, I developed the grid structure, page flow and visual hierarchy to create a catalogue that was easy for retail buyers to navigate. I integrated their illustrations and quirky details throughout the pages, working closely with Iain and Maddy through feedback rounds to finalise the asset for both print and digital use.

Result:

The catalogue was a great success and was used across multiple seasons for their trade show exhibitions. This project built a strong long-term relationship and I continued to update their wholesale files for a couple of years following this initial launch. Additionally, off the back of this success, I was directly recommended to another brand at a trade show, who commissioned me to design their own greeting card wholesale catalogue after seeing my layout work for Bewilderbeest.

Layout Design & Structure

Through considered visual hierarchy, product grouping and illustrated details, I ensured the catalogue balanced practical navigation with their distinct brand style. Below are some screenshots of the InDesign file build used to structure this 36 page document.
